Hi!
I hope everyone's enjoying this weather. It will be nice for the AIDS Walk, April 22 (Saturday). If you haven't registered already, check out the blog for more info about that--there is no registration fee, although you are encouraged to raise donations for it.
One way we hope to do that as a team of walkers is by sponsoring a coffee hour between the April 9th Church Services. You can help out with this even if you can't make the walk. We really hope as many people will participate as possible. It's also a good opportunity to get together on a Sunday morning and even go to worship services together (something that doesn't happen too often due to our crazy schedules).
What do you need to do if you'd like to help out? It's easy.
1. Bake or buy a goody for the bake sale.
2. Price it for individual sale (i.e. 1 large muffin for $0.75)
3. Bring it to the Barn Chapel to set up at 8:45
4. Stick around if you can and help us sell your wares and collect $$ from 9-10.
That's it. You can go to service before or after, so if you go to first service just leave it in the Barn Chapel for us to set up when we get there. Also, if you have change, you might bring it to help people make change just because we're not going to mess with getting change from the bank or anything. Easy-peasy.
Then, of course, we will donate our proceeds as our team fundraising contribution to the AIDS Walk. If you can, come walk with us as that's our meeting this month. Rev. Thom has invited us all to enjoy brunch at his place after the walk, so there will be a socializing bit, too. Hope to see you all this Sunday, April 9!
Elizabeth
